Mounting the components

Once the roller blind has been installed and commissioned by the fitter, it can be taught-in and operated immediately.
The only requirement is a power supply directly at the roller shutter in the outdoor area.

The ONYX.CONNECTOR is an outdoor control unit for motorised sun protection systems. Only a power supply is required on the outside of the suns protection system. It is connected directly to the motor cable via a Hirschmann connection (STAK 3 / STAS 3). The venetian blind motors supplied by HELLA already have this plug pre-mounted, so the ONYX.CONNECTOR can simply be plugged in without any electrical expertise.

The ONYX.NODE is an indoor control unit for motorised sun protection systems. It is installed behind any standard blind pushbutton in the flush-mounted box It is only necessary to ensure that the flush-mounted box has the necessary depth. 

An ONYX.NODE can be connected to one double pushbutton for the directions up and down. This means that control via push-button, but also via the app, is possible without any problems. 

It can be operated via the connected push-buttons immediately after installation. This operation is always ensured even without an additional control unit or remote control.

ONYX.WEATHER is a wind and sun sensor for mounting on the façade. The installation can be done with the enclosed mounting material. The installation can be done with the enclosed mounting material. A 230 V supply cable is required, but the supplied connection cable (5 m) can also be laid in a junction box to avoid clamping points outdoors.

Setting up the units is child's play: You need the free ONYX app, which you can download here. In the app, you can then simply scan the QR codes of the devices. Each ONYX device has a unique code. If a device is already installed or the code is not accessible, you can also easily use the search mode in the app. Devices that are found are then displayed and can be taught-in with a "fingertip".
