Having information on the hours of sunshine is an essential planning criterion, when purchasing an awning or terrace roofing. Thanks to the collaboration with a project team from PHTL-Lienz, a tool was developed that provides an immediate output of this information when the location is entered.
The time-dependent position of the sun and illuminance shall be determined via a web application for the installation planning of HELLA products. This tool is now available in the form of a website for customers in this situation and for consultants, who need this information for a consultation. The determination and output of the position of the sun is entered and calculated by the user in the web application by manual positioning on a satellite map. A PDF export can be generated with a simple click of the mouse button. An algorithm from a standard template was implemented for the calculation.
