Thrilling exchanges, captivating expert talks and valuable networking: The HELLA Architecture Club was created to network architects, developers and the trade press and to offer new knowledge on the most current topics with regard to the architecture industry. This time the event was dedicated to developments in the real estate market with regard to residential construction in Austria. The top-class panel consisted of Dr. Daniel Jelitzka (JP Immobiliengruppe), Dr. Christoph Fida (KPMG) as well as Dipl. Ing. Hans-Peter Weiss (BIG/ARE) and was moderated by Prof. Dr. Georg Wailand (Kronen Zeitung/Gewinn).
"The multitude of challenges in the Austrian residential real estate market is great. However, I am optimistic that the next few years will also serve as an opportunity for us," said KPMG real estate expert Dr. Christoph Fida, who also gave a short keynote speech on the topic. Currently, a lack of affordable housing and rising property prices overshadow the market. The pandemic and the Ukraine war have also led to disrupted supply chains and thus a slowdown in the construction sector. In addition, there are complex regulations such as the new credit conditions as well as increasing requirements for sustainability and environmental friendliness.
"Accordingly, it is significant that real estate companies, architects, energy producers and politicians work together on new, sustainable solutions and bold ideas - across all asset classes," emphasises Hans-Peter Weiss, CEO of the BIG Group. HELLA plays an important role in this with its products, as the importance of systemic sun protection continues to grow due to the increasing demand for energy-efficient properties.
The lecture took place in a cosy atmosphere followed by flying finger food and drinks at the Kelsen in the Parliament in Vienna. Among the guests were various national architecture firms, developers and experts.
