HELLA extends its partnership with the ÖSV

HELLA and the Austrian Ski Association (ÖSV) are continuing their successful co-operation in biathlon sports for three more years. The East Tyrolean company sponsors all members of the biathlon squad of the ski association and supports the training team as head sponsor.

Biathlon will remain an important pillar of sports sponsorship at HELLA in the future. What began in 2021 with support at the IBU Youth and Junior World Championships in Obertilliach in East Tyrol was extended to the entire squad, from the youth to the World Cup elite to the training team. The cooperation will now be continued for another three years. This was announced by HELLA Group Managing Partner Andreas Kraler and ÖSV Secretary General Christian Scherer at the signing of the contract in Innsbruck.

Andreas Kraler is looking forward to the continuation of the cooperation and emphasises with a view towards the future: “Biathlon is a sport with a steadily growing audience and TV coverage in many of our most important core markets and is becoming increasingly important, especially in German-speaking countries. Therefore, the sponsorship offers an ideal opportunity to position the HELLA brand visibly in the winter sports media environment. In addition, Biathlon is based on values, which also take centre stage at HELLA: Perseverance in the development of a Europe-wide leading organisation and concentration on the essentials, the benefits for customers.”

The Austrian Ski Association is also delighted: “The extension of the contract is a positive signal for biathlon sports in Austria. We are already looking forward to continuing the success story of the Austrian biathlon together with a strong partner like HELLA,” explains Christian Scherer. He adds: “With the upcoming World Championships in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, next year and the subsequent Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina 2026, two sporting highlights of great importance are already awaiting us.”
