On 24th October 2024, HELLA inaugurated its new HELLA CAMPUS at the company’s site in Geislingen an der Steige in Baden-Württemberg. Along with 120 special trade partners and media representatives, the long-established Austrian company celebrated the official opening of its 800 square metre training centre, which includes an assembly building for practical training, a product training room to experience products up close and a conference area.
The showroom of the future: HELLA CUBE and WALL impress
With the new concepts of CUBE and WALL, HELLA provides turnkey high-end sales tools, which promise to maximise sales for dealers and partners, new opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling, an increased closing rate and simplified purchasing. After visiting a dealer with CUBE or WALL, end consumers are quicker and more confident in their purchase decision. The CUBE experience world is not just a visual highlight – with an impressive mix of sound and light effects as well as a wide variety of individual and live visualisations, the CUBE offers end consumers and architects an innovative experience for all the senses.
The media response to the solutions for the bricks-and-mortar trade was huge at the R+T trade fair in Stuttgart itself. The first CUBE was recently installed at a special trade partner of HELLA in Kremperheide near Hamburg; others will follow soon at dealers in Cologne, Berlin and Udine. Numerous advance bookings for 2025 are already making the trade fair concept a lasting success.
An investment in training and further education on several levels
With the new HELLA CAMPUS, the company proves that it is not only concerned about training and further education of its own workforce, but also of the employees of its trade partners. At the HELLA CAMPUS, partner companies have the opportunity to familiarise their sales staff with the quality brand HELLA and its products and also to have their fitters specifically trained in the installation of premium products. Meeting, conference and training rooms with modern equipment perfectly round off the wide range of facilities on the campus.
The HELLA Group invested over one million euros in the around one year long construction project. Further investments in the site have already been planned: In addition to a roof renovation, the installation of a photovoltaic system is also being planned. HELLA is thus rolling out its energy concept of “Save, generate and store energy”, which was defined at the Group headquarters location, to other company locations.
Germany as the most important growth market
Close cooperation with its special trade partners plays a central role in the German distribution channel of the company. Germany is the largest market of the Group and also its most important growth market. The Group-wide toolmaking and production of spiral bearings for Venetian blinds is done at the Geislingen site. Furthermore, Geislingen is also the logistics hub of the HELLA Group and therefore the mainstay for international factory traffic. The Germany-wide distribution service centre for the specialist trade distribution channel also operates from Geislingen.
